Paving

At WH Drives & Design we are expert installers of driveways, patios and paths so if you are looking for a quality professional job that will look great and will last for years then block paving may be the choice for you. When laid properly a block paved driveway, is more durable than even concrete itself. It is important that a substantial sub base is laid providing permanence and retaining its value.

All our block paving driveways are dug out and stoned up to a thickness of 4 to 8 inches depending on the ground underneath, with type 1 hardcore and compacted with a roller.

We can design and install all sizes of paved driveways, in differing shapes, textures, sizes and colours of quality blocks. Decorative edges and borders can be added in contrasting colours to give your driveway a unique look and if you need finishing touches to be added such as steps, walling or kerbs dropped, we are just a phone call away.

If you already have a block paved driveway and it is in need of a repair, we can help you with replacing chipped or broken blocks, resealing or resanding, contact our team for more information on our repair service.

We provide very high quality driveways at extremely competitive prices. Please call us on 01727 881908 to arrange a visit or free quotation.

Selection of laying Patterns

Pattern Imprinted Concrete

Imprinted concrete paving is the term used for when concrete has been laid and is patterned and/or textured to resemble either brick, slate, or flagstones.

Once the concrete is laid, it is distributed by shovel and then screeded to ensure a smooth, flat surface. If you are having coloured imprinted concrete this is the stage where the colour you have chosed will be added to your paving. After this stage the imprinting must be started. This is done using texture mats of the patern that you have chosen.

The ability of patterned concrete to resemble other building materials makes it a less expensive alternative that you may want to consider. If you would like to discuss your requirements our paving experts would be happy to discuss your requirements.
